Mackenzie on Christmas morning.

Well Elyse is truly mobile on all fours not just on her belly, she can pull herself to get on her knees and stand up. Ava, still lazy, she enjoys watching Elyse move around her. Mackenzie is great not wanting to leave the house. She just as well stay here and play with her new toys that she got for Christmas, we will see how long that last.

Merry Christmas!!!

Just some before christmas pictures!!!

My girls playing around, as you can see Elyse is mobile and gets where she wants to go.

This is what happens on daddy duty, yes she turned upside down and did not even fall out of the chair. Did I mention she gets where she wants to go.
Such a sweet smile!

Mackenzie got her hair cut(by Ginger this time) and she thinks she is a sassy thing with this cute short bob cut. Who knew it would look so stinking cute.

Why do little girls cut their hair?????

So at my house we(Mackenzie and I) get our hair cut by a girl named Ginger and we have talked multiple times that Ginger is the only one that cuts our hair. Obviously that was not the case sometime this weekend. We do not know exactly when this happen, sometime on Saturday we think. Mackenzie decided that she needed a hair cut. Mike found a piece of hair and called me at work and asked me about it. I had no idea what he was talking about. Mackenzie got home from church and he asked her, she proceeded to tell him that the rest of the hair was bedside the TV in the toy room. When asked why she cut her hair, she said "because I wanted to". After getting home and seeing it we did not have to make a emergency trip to Ginger. We can make do, it is hardly noticeable. So wish me luck with pictures on Tuesday with a child that just cut her hair, Ava has thrush on her lip and Elyse has chapped cheeks in the am.

Growing so fast.

One is mobile already.

Elyse did not take her eyes on this "crazy man"

Ava so cute!!!

These two should have been the "twins".

As you can see that our girls are growing quickly. We can hardly believe that they are 6 months old, almost 7 months. Yes Elyse is mobile. While I was in the kitchen Thanksgiving day, I heard a chair moving on the hardwood floors. I kept hearing it and finally went and looked. Elyse had moved herself from sitting on her blanket to about 6 feet away and was under one of Mackenzie's chairs to her table. She was trying to get her feet out from under the chair. She is totally scooting on her belly. It was funny and shocking at the same time. We had a very good Thanksgiving and we hope everyone else did. We also had the girls baptised at church last Sunday and they did great, enjoy the pics.

Sorry so late with pics!!!

So it has been awhile since I have posted but we have been busy with Halloween and just different things. Mackenzie was Dorothy for Halloween and was very cute. We decided not to take the twins out that night, it was cold and we are trying to keep everyone healthy. It is hard enough to keep the snotty noses away with a 4 year old that goes to preschool. Enjoy the pics and I will try to get better at keeping everyone up to date. The twins get there flu shot this week, fun, fun.
Not long before she will be crawling.
Elyse loves her feet and Ava loves Elyse' feet too.

Two of my Tarheels.

The cutiest Dorothy ever!!!!!

Ava chillin, thanks to Mackenzie.

Elyse eating a toy, everything goes to the mouth.

Check out that bed head!!!! Have you ever seen a 6 month old with this much hair.

Shots oh my!!!!

Ava and Elyse had there check up today. Things went well. Ava did not like the MD at all, she started crying as soon as the lady touched her. Elyse on the otherhand tried to grab and play with the stethescope. The girls are growing good. We started rice cereal this morning, they did OK, Ava was too busy smiling and laughing to eat. Then of course we had to get the dreaded vaccines. Elyse went first and of course was crying and Ava was looking down at her like is that what is going to happen next. The facial expression was priceless. Then as soon as Ava laid down the crying started. Well tylenol the next 24 hrs and all will be back to normal. I have yet to figure out how I am going to fit solid foods into my established routine. Guess we will get another routine started.
Elyse 15lbs 3 oz. 23 1/4 inches long
Ava 13lbs 1 oz. 24 1/4 inches long

Happy birthday Ava and Elyse 5 months old today.

Thanks goodness for preschool teachers.

Barbie Cake
Mackenzie loves HSM dolls and the movie

Ava and daddy
Elyse and mommy

So Mackenzie's birthday party was Saturday. Who knew 15 preschoolers would kick our butt. Mike and I were so tired on Saturday night from the party. Those preschool teachers are angels. It went great and the kids had fun bowling. Thanks to Michelle B. for the Barbie cake. It was good as always. We chose to go bowling because for two years we had her party at my families corn maze but both times it was cold and rainy. We went to the corn maze on Saturday after the party and it was windy and cold so we did not get pictures with pumpkins. Mackenzie had her 4 year old check up on Friday, what a adventure. They pricked her finger for lead level and cholesterol level, checked her vision and hearing, then they checked her ears and guess what wax!!. Yes they washed her ears out, what fun. Then to top it off the FLU SHOT, she was loving me by the end and kindly at the top of her voice informed me that she "did not want to come back to this place". The twins have there checkup tomorrow, I will post weights then.

Mackenzie turns 4!!!

Mackenzie 4 years old.Mackenzie 3 months to 1 year pics.

On October 9, 2004 my dad and mom got a new granddaughter and a daughter-n-law, yes all in the same day. This is the day that our lives changed forever. For those of you that do not know we wanted and waited for this little girl a long time and when that time came we were so blessed to have Mackenzie. She has been the center of our world for the last 4 years, until the twins came and she has to share but only a little. She is still very much a princess and has grown into a little lady over the past 4 years. I was looking through pictures tonight and thought I would share a few with you. She has been such a joy in our lives and I am sure will continue to be. Just wanted to say Happy Birthday Mackenzie and Mommy, Daddy, Ava, and Elyse love you very much. The party is Saturday, will post pics after that.
