I caught the girls trying to put on my work shoes yesterday. I see they are going to be shoe girls just like Mackenzie, they already try to put her shoes on.

Boot Camp Swimming!!!

So Mackenzie just got finished with swimming lessons this week. She took from Janet Flemming in Burlington(yes we drove to Burlington everyday and it was well worth it). If you know Mackenzie or have ever heard the stories I tell she is a very hard headed and determined to do what she wants, I wonder where she gets that from? See this is a girl who never wanted to put her head in the water or jump off the side much less the diving board. So I decided to take her to swimming lessons. She did great all week, she would tell me what she was doing but would not show me at our pool. (we were not allowed to stay) So I thought here we go she is going to do it there but not with us. For example the other night I asked her if she was going to jump on the diving board at our pool and she said NO!!!!, I asked her why is she jumping off at lessons then, she said "Because I had too!!!" Needless to say on Friday when parents were allowed to stay and watch she did everything. We went to our pool that afternoon and she still did everything. We are so proud of her!!!! Janet is a very good teacher, she is stern and to the point but she gets kids to learn how to swim. If you want your kid to swim then I recommend her but she is not for the faint at heart.
